Senior structural engineering role focused on thermomechanical analysis, structural mechanics, aerospace hardware, design support, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar structural engineering role

  • Experience performing structural analysis for mechanical components

  • Experience with commercial FEA software packages

  • Experience performing hand calculations for structural analysis

  • Experience with thermomechanical analysis

  • Knowledge of material properties and material selection processes

  • Knowledge of design principles, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques

  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and CAD software

  • Knowledge of heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics

  • Knowledge of ANSI drawing standards and GD&T procedures

  • Experience generating technical reviews, reports, and engineering documentation

  • Ability to work for prolonged periods on a computer or in a lab environment

  • Ability to move equipment up to 25 lbs.

  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder status

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

  • Aerospace structural analysis experience

  • Heat exchanger experience

  • Experience reviewing analyses produced by engineers or subcontractors

  • Experience supporting customer reviews

  • Experience supporting proposals and future product development

Responsibilities

  • Perform thermomechanical analyses of complex aerospace hardware

  • Use commercial analysis packages and hand calculations to evaluate structural performance

  • Work with design teams to support new product development

  • Peer review analyses produced by structures engineers and subcontractors

  • Support customer requirements related to heat exchangers

  • Generate technical reviews, reports, and engineering documentation

  • Lead process improvement activities related to structural analysis

  • Review and approve design changes

  • Review and approve test procedures

  • Support disposition of technical issues during manufacturing

  • Support customer reviews and inbound technical requests

  • Support proposals and future product development activities

Pay: 120k-150k/year
