Senior RF Engineer responsible for RF, antenna, radar, datalink, and C4ISR design, integration, qualification, and sustainment support for airborne aircraft systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher
  • 10+ years of RF, antenna, radar, EO/IR, datalink, or C4ISR design and integration experience on airborne platforms
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense aircraft systems
  • Experience with aircraft RF communication systems
  • Experience developing, designing, and qualifying integrated electrical, mechanical, and aircraft antenna systems
  • Experience reviewing existing designs and test data
  • Experience identifying design improvement opportunities
  • Experience supporting fabrication issues
  • Experience with wire harnesses
  • Experience with vehicle guidance, navigation, and control systems
  • Experience with fault-tolerant systems
  • Experience with ground-support electronics hardware or software
  • 10+ years of CAD software experience
  • Experience creating wiring interconnect drawings
  • Experience creating wiring schematics
  • Experience creating wiring harness drawings
  • Experience with RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, and discrete wiring
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and DO-160 testing and design requirements
  • Experience taking RF or antenna projects from design through integration and sustainment

  • AutoCAD Electrical experience
  • C-130 or L-100 aircraft experience
  • C-27J aircraft experience

Responsibilities

  • Support design, integration, and sustainment of airborne RF and antenna systems
  • Provide engineering solutions for aircraft system design, integration, analysis, and sustainment
  • Lead RF and antenna technical scope across assigned projects
  • Develop and qualify integrated electrical, mechanical, and aircraft antenna systems
  • Review existing designs and test data
  • Identify areas for design development or improvement
  • Support fabrication and integration issues as they arise
  • Support flight RF communication system design and integration
  • Support wire harness design and integration
  • Support vehicle guidance, navigation, control, and fault tolerance systems
  • Support ground-support electronics hardware and software activities
  • Create wiring interconnects, wiring schematics, and wiring harness drawings
  • Integrate systems using RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, and discrete wiring
  • Apply MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and DO-160 requirements to design and testing activities
  • Support RF, antenna, radar, EO/IR, datalink, and C4ISR integration on airborne platforms
  • Manage RF and antenna projects from concept through design, integration, qualification, and sustainment


Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
