Finishing Tech

Aerospace Deburring Technician responsible for precision deburring, surface finishing, cleaning, and thread maintenance of complex aerospace components in accordance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

• Experience deburring complex aerospace components to customer specifications.

• Proficiency in creating and maintaining required surface finishes and burr-free edges.

• Experience washing parts, hand tapping, and chasing threaded holes.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including surface finish and edge break requirements.

• Manual dexterity and steady hand control for precision work on intricate components.

• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections of machined parts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in medical device manufacturing or precision component manufacturing.

• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing quality standards.

• Experience using precision deburring tools and surface finishing equipment.

• Familiarity with inspection techniques for surface finishes and edge conditions.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform precision deburring of complex aerospace components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

• Remove burrs and sharp edges while maintaining critical dimensional and surface finish requirements.

• Create and maintain specified surface finishes on machined components.

• Wash and clean parts to remove debris and manufacturing residue.

• Perform hand tapping and thread chasing on threaded holes.

• Interpret engineering drawings to verify surface finish and edge break requirements.

• Visually inspect completed components for burrs, surface defects, and compliance with specifications.

• Use hand tools and precision finishing equipment to process intricate components.

• Maintain compliance with applicable manufacturing procedures and quality standards.

Pay: 23-27/hr
