Mechanical Engineer
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for mechanical and electromechanical design, simulation, verification, qualification, production ramp, and hardware integration for complex systems.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience with mechanical or electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Experience performing thermal simulations using FloTHERM and/or FloEFD
Proficiency with CAD platforms such as Creo, SolidWorks, or similar tools
Experience performing hand calculations and engineering analyses
Knowledge of statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials
Experience developing production drawings using GD&T
Experience performing tolerance stack-up analysis
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
Preferred Skills
Experience designing and developing hardware for aerospace or other high-reliability applications
Experience with electronic board assembly mechanical design and integration
Knowledge of chip-level, package-level, and board-level electronics integration
Experience developing mounting strategies and thermal management solutions for electronic hardware
Familiarity with FAA certification processes
Knowledge of DO-160 and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
Experience with aircraft systems or avionics hardware integration
Knowledge of RF and EMI/EMC considerations in mechanical hardware design
Experience supporting high-rate production or in-house manufacturing environments
Knowledge of supply chain, production processes, and product lifecycle management
Job Responsibilities
Own mechanical hardware design from development through verification, qualification, production ramp, and field deployment
Define mechanical design criteria and support refinement of system requirements
Perform hand calculations, FEA, CFD, and thermal simulations
Develop and evaluate design concepts during system trade studies
Create and refine CAD models for mechanical and electromechanical assemblies
Lead mechanical design reviews
Support hardware verification and qualification testing
Support component and system certification activities
Develop detailed production drawings using GD&T
Perform tolerance stack-up analyses to verify manufacturability and performance
Develop mechanical integration, mounting, and thermal management solutions for electronic assemblies
Apply DFM and DFA principles to simplify designs and reduce part and process count
Implement error-proofing strategies in production-ready designs
Support production ramp-up, manufacturing implementation, and field deployment activities
Pay: 49-66/hr

Pay Details: $49.00 to $66.00 per hour
