Buyer

Purchasing and Contracts Specialist responsible for procurement coordination, purchase order management, supplier support, and prototype or automotive part purchasing activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Specialized experience in purchasing and/or contracts

• Experience working with CAD drawings

• Knowledge of automotive parts

• Knowledge of prototype parts

• SAP experience

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Experience using technical software applications

• Experience managing open purchase orders and tracking multiple items

• Ability to travel as required

• Ability to work overtime as required

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting purchasing activities in an R&D environment

• Experience sourcing prototype or development parts

• Experience coordinating procurement activities with engineering or design teams

• Experience working with external suppliers

• Experience supporting changing procurement priorities and project-based purchasing

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and track open purchase orders

• Coordinate purchasing and contract-related activities

• Support procurement of automotive and prototype components

• Review CAD drawings and technical documentation related to purchased parts

• Maintain purchase order status and track outstanding materials

• Coordinate with internal design, engineering, and project teams on purchasing requirements

• Work with external suppliers to support sourcing, order status, and delivery requirements

• Maintain purchasing and procurement data within SAP

• Support project-based procurement activities in an R&D environment

• Track multiple purchasing activities, parts, and supplier actions simultaneously

Pay: 40-48/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $48.00 per hour
