Designs and develops vehicle and product systems using advanced CAD, structural analysis, finite element analysis, GD&T, and engineering validation methods.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; technical degrees do not qualify.
  • Proficiency with Creo, NX, and/or CATIA CAD software.
  • Experience with Ansys Mechanical Workbench.
  • Experience designing structural components including frames, brackets, and subframes.
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with vehicle or product system design and development.
  • Experience applying linear-static Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to component and system design.
  • Experience generating engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience developing CAD concepts and component packaging.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM).
  • Experience with Windchill PDM/PLM.
  • Experience with system physics modeling and characterization.
  • Experience with design optimization using finite element analysis.
  • Experience developing Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R).
  • Experience with vehicle structural systems and component integration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop vehicle and product systems and components.
  • Create structural designs for frames, brackets, subframes, and related components.
  • Develop CAD concepts, assemblies, and component packaging using Creo, NX, CATIA, or similar tools.
  • Perform system physics modeling and characterization.
  • Apply linear-static FEA to evaluate and optimize structural designs.
  • Perform structural analysis using Ansys Mechanical Workbench.
  • Apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T requirements to engineering designs and drawings.
  • Generate detailed technical drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Support Design for Additive Manufacturing activities as applicable.
  • Manage engineering design data within PDM/PLM systems.
  • Develop test plans, validation activities, and DVP&R documentation.
  • Analyze test results and prepare engineering reports.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and technical findings.


Pay Details: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
