Sets up, operates, programs, and troubleshoots CNC Swiss and Citizen lathe equipment for precision machining operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Solid understanding of machining practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of CNC programming language.
  • Experience with CNC Citizen lathes and/or CNC Swiss machining equipment.
  • Experience performing CNC machine setup and tooling adjustments.
  • Knowledge of work offsets, tooling offsets, fixtures, and machining parameters.
  • Experience editing and troubleshooting existing CNC programs.
  • Experience using quality and manufacturing systems such as QMS, MAX, and SPC databases.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced manufacturing or machining training and/or certification.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing and machining experience.
  • Experience developing basic CNC programs.
  • Experience with precision machining and advanced CNC setup activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC Swiss and Citizen lathe equipment.
  • Execute advanced CNC machine setup and programming activities.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures.
  • Adjust tooling offsets and work offsets to meet machining requirements.
  • Troubleshoot existing CNC programs and machine performance issues.
  • Perform significant edits to existing CNC programs as required.
  • Develop basic CNC programs for production operations.
  • Verify machine setup and programming against production and quality requirements.
  • Use QMS, MAX, and SPC databases to support production, quality, and process control activities.
  • Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional and process requirements.


Pay Details: $24.00 to $33.00 per hour
