Sr. Process Engineer

Senior Metallurgical Engineer responsible for technical oversight, process control, and continuous improvement of forging and thermomechanical processing operations for high-performance alloys.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

• 8–12 years of experience in forging and thermomechanical processing of high-performance alloys.

• Experience defining and controlling forging process parameters.

• Experience with thermal processing and heat treatment processes.

• Experience reviewing and interpreting SPC data.

• Experience evaluating mechanical properties, surface condition, dimensional characteristics, and yield.

• Experience reviewing customer specifications and ensuring technical compliance.

• Experience maintaining process documentation and technical databases.

• Experience providing technical supervision for manufacturing processes and personnel.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with aerospace, defense, or other high-performance alloy applications.

• Experience with nickel-based or other high-temperature alloys.

• Experience with forging process optimization.

• Experience with metallurgical failure analysis and process troubleshooting.

• Experience with statistical process control and process capability analysis.

• Experience supporting technical reviews involving manufacturing capability and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Define, control, and continuously improve forging and thermal process parameters.

• Review and update statistical process control data.

• Monitor product performance, including mechanical properties, surface condition, dimensional characteristics, and yield.

• Analyze manufacturing and product data to identify process improvement opportunities.

• Review and interpret customer specifications and verify technical compliance.

• Maintain process documentation control systems and associated technical databases.

• Provide technical analysis and recommendations for management review.

• Resolve technical differences between customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities.

• Support technical discussions involving customers, sales, manufacturing, and leadership.

• Provide technical supervision for forging, thermal processing, and related manufacturing operations.

• Provide technical direction to manufacturing personnel involved in metallurgical processes.

• Support process troubleshooting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.

Pay: 92k-125k/year
