Technical & Quality Director

Senior Metallurgical / Process Engineer responsible for controlling forging and thermal processes, monitoring product performance, and ensuring compliance with aerospace and customer requirements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.

• 10+ years of experience managing technical product processes and applications in the nickel or metals industry.

• Minimum 5 years of aerospace industry experience.

• Experience with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.

• Strong technical engineering and/or quality engineering background.

• Knowledge of AS9100 requirements.

• Experience reviewing and interpreting customer specifications.

• Experience with forging, thermal processing, or related metallurgical manufacturing processes.

• Experience with process control, SPC data, and manufacturing performance metrics.

• Experience with process documentation control and technical databases.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.

• Experience with high-temperature nickel-based superalloys.

• Experience with nickel superalloy melting or conversion processes.

• Experience supporting aerospace materials or component manufacturing.

• Experience with mechanical property evaluation, dimensional characteristics, surface condition, and yield analysis.

Job Responsibilities

• Define, control, and improve forging and thermal process parameters.

• Review and update statistical process control data.

• Monitor mechanical properties, surface condition, dimensional characteristics, and product yield.

• Analyze process and product performance data.

• Review customer specifications and verify technical compliance.

• Maintain process documentation control systems and associated technical databases.

• Support management reviews with process data and technical recommendations.

• Investigate product and process issues related to customer requirements.

• Resolve technical gaps between customer specifications and manufacturing capabilities.

• Support customer, sales, and leadership discussions involving technical requirements and process capability.

• Develop and implement process improvements for metallurgical and thermal manufacturing operations.

• Ensure manufacturing processes align with applicable aerospace quality requirements.

Pay: 150k-200k/year
