Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for developing embedded electronic hardware, power electronics, and battery management systems from concept through production.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of relevant electrical or electronic product development experience.
  • Experience with analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design.
  • Experience developing embedded electronic products from concept through production.
  • Strong proficiency with Altium Designer.
  • Experience with TI MSP430 and/or ARM Cortex-M0/M0+ microcontrollers.
  • Experience with CAN bus and embedded communication protocols.
  • Experience with DC-DC converter design.
  • Experience with battery charger design.
  • Experience with hardware bring-up and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret embedded firmware for hardware/firmware debugging.
  • Experience supporting production hardware and manufacturing activities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience developing 12S–18S battery management system hardware.
  • Experience with TI BQ797xx, BQ796xx, or similar multi-cell monitoring AFEs.
  • Experience with Analog Devices LTC681x or NXP battery management devices.
  • Experience with DroneCAN.
  • Experience developing lithium-ion battery packs.
  • Experience with high-voltage battery systems.
  • Experience with automotive, aerospace, defense, robotics, UAV, or other high-reliability electronic systems.
  • Experience with EMI/EMC design and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with functional safety and fault-tolerant hardware design.
  • Experience designing products for high-volume manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with DFMEA, schematic reviews, PCB reviews, DFM, DFT, and design verification processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop embedded electronic hardware from concept through production release.
  • Develop analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics circuitry.
  • Design PCB schematics and layouts using Altium Designer.
  • Develop hardware around MSP430 and ARM Cortex-M0/M0+ microcontrollers.
  • Design and integrate CAN bus and other embedded communication interfaces.
  • Develop DC-DC converter and battery charging circuitry.
  • Support battery management system hardware development.
  • Perform prototype hardware bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Debug hardware and firmware interactions during product development.
  • Support EMI/EMC evaluation and corrective design activities.
  • Perform schematic and PCB design reviews.
  • Support DFMEA, DFM, DFT, and design verification activities.
  • Support transition of electronic products into manufacturing.
  • Investigate and resolve production hardware issues.
  • Support manufacturing with technical documentation, test requirements, and hardware changes.


Pay Details: $67.00 to $90.00 per hour
