CNC Machine Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and conventional machining equipment while producing parts to blueprint and quality requirements.

Job Requirements

  • 1–3 years of related machining experience.

  • Ability to perform basic CNC machine operations.

  • Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, work orders, and procedures.

  • Ability to read and understand basic CNC programs.

  • Experience performing quality checks using verniers, micrometers, ring gages, plug gages, and pin gages.

  • Ability to perform machine adjustments, including offset wear and geometry changes.

  • Ability to change collets, tool inserts, tool blocks, and tool holders.

  • Ability to enter programs for pre-programmed parts.

  • Ability to understand and follow written English instructions.

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.

  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience operating drill presses.

  • Experience operating engine lathes or turret lathes.

  • Experience setting up and operating multiple CNC machines.

  • Experience with bar stock handling and cutting.

  • Experience performing basic machine maintenance.

  • Knowledge of machining process improvement and setup reduction practices.

  • Experience with material identification, component identification, and inventory processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain one or more CNC machines.

  • Operate drill presses, lathes, and related machining equipment as assigned.

  • Perform machining operations according to production orders.

  • Follow blueprints, work orders, and standard setup instructions.

  • Perform machine adjustments, including offset wear and geometry changes.

  • Change collets, cutting inserts, tool blocks, and tool holders.

  • Enter programs for pre-programmed parts.

  • Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring equipment.

  • Maintain required production quality and quantity levels.

  • Maintain coolant and oil levels on machining equipment.

  • Perform basic machine maintenance as directed.

  • Handle, cut, and put away bar stock materials.

  • Clean machined parts and work areas.

  • Separate and maintain waste chips and daily scrap materials.

  • Support setup and process improvements intended to reduce lead times and non-value-added activities.

  • Follow applicable machine and workplace safety procedures.

Pay: 25-40/hr

Pay Details: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour
