Test Tech - 1st Shift

Electrical Test Technician responsible for testing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and verifying electrical equipment and systems in a manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements

• Experience testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and components.

• Experience using electrical test instruments, hand tools, and air tools in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience troubleshooting PLCs.

• Experience using computers to configure communications and test equipment.

• Knowledge of transformers, Wye/Delta connections, single-phase circuits, and three-phase circuits.

• Knowledge of protective relays and electrical control schemes.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, and test procedures.

• Experience working safely around energized electrical equipment and circuits.

• Ability to troubleshoot energized circuits with up to 120 volts present.

• Ability to work around equipment with voltages up to 200 kV.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to travel throughout a manufacturing facility as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience performing quality assurance inspections on electrical equipment.

• Experience evaluating electrical equipment workmanship and functionality.

• Experience verifying equipment against engineering specifications and customer requirements.

• Experience testing industrial electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing on manufactured equipment and components.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and associated communication systems.

• Use electrical test equipment to verify system performance and functionality.

• Inspect completed equipment for workmanship and conformance to specifications.

• Verify electrical connections, wiring, control schemes, and component operation.

• Review electrical prints, schematics, engineering specifications, and test procedures during testing activities.

• Document test results, equipment conditions, and identified defects.

• Perform quality assurance inspections before equipment release.

• Troubleshoot energized circuits while following applicable electrical safety requirements.

Pay: 18-22/hr
