Test Tech - 2nd Shift

Electrical Test Technician responsible for performing electrical testing, troubleshooting equipment, and completing quality inspections in a manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements

• Experience testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and components.

• Proficiency using electrical test instruments, hand tools, and air tools.

• Experience troubleshooting PLCs.

• Experience using computers to configure communications and test equipment.

• Knowledge of transformers, Wye/Delta connections, single-phase circuits, and three-phase circuits.

• Knowledge of protective relays and electrical control schemes.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, and test procedures.

• Experience inspecting finished equipment for workmanship, functionality, and compliance with engineering specifications.

• Experience working safely around energized electrical equipment.

• Ability to troubleshoot energized circuits with 120V present.

• Ability to work around equipment with voltages up to 200kV.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to travel throughout a manufacturing facility as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience performing quality assurance inspections on electrical equipment.

• Experience testing industrial electrical equipment.

• Manufacturing environment experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing on equipment and components.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and communication systems.

• Configure test equipment and communication interfaces.

• Perform quality assurance inspections on completed equipment.

• Verify electrical functionality and equipment performance.

• Inspect workmanship against engineering and customer specifications.

• Read and follow electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and test procedures.

• Test and troubleshoot single-phase and three-phase electrical circuits.

• Test transformers, protective relays, and control systems.

• Document test results, equipment issues, and inspection findings.

• Perform testing and troubleshooting around energized electrical circuits in accordance with applicable safety procedures.

Pay: 24-28/hr
