Maintenance Technician

Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and production equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
• Experience in a steel processing or similar heavy industrial environment preferred.
• Experience using tools, machines, and testing instruments for equipment repair and overhaul.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting motor control centers, drives, and electrical panels.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, manuals, and schematics.
• Knowledge of industrial safety requirements, equipment inspection methods, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to meet applicable ITAR requirements.
• Ability to work around industrial equipment, metal powders, and nickel materials.
• Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Ability to participate in rotating weekend on-call coverage.

Preferred Skills

• Steel processing or metals manufacturing experience.
• Experience with welding and metal fabrication.
• Experience performing basic machining, grinding, and drilling.
• Experience maintaining conveyor systems.
• Experience with industrial motor controls and variable-speed drives.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical and production equipment throughout the facility.
• Inspect, repair, and overhaul mechanical drives, motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, motor control devices, and conveyor systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of motor control centers, drives, and sub-electrical panels.
• Use volt-ohm-amp meters and related electrical testing equipment.
• Perform basic installation, maintenance, and modification of equipment and control systems.
• Perform machine shop activities including grinding, drilling, metal fabrication, welding, and basic machining.
• Diagnose equipment failures and complete required corrective repairs.
• Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with applicable safety and operating requirements.
• Support emergency equipment repairs during assigned on-call periods.

Pay Details: $31.00 to $41.00 per hour
