Mastercam Programmer

Develops, verifies, revises, and proves out CNC milling programs for high-precision aerospace machining operations using Mastercam.

Job Requirements

• 3–5+ years of CNC milling programming experience in aerospace machining or a comparable high-precision manufacturing environment.

• Aerospace machining experience required.

• Proficiency with Mastercam for CNC milling.

• Experience creating, verifying, posting, and revising CNC milling programs.

• 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling programming experience.

• Knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and workholding methods.

• Knowledge of G-code and M-code.

• Experience with CNC program prove-out and machining process validation.

• Experience machining aerospace materials.

• Experience with First Article requirements.

• Experience working with controlled manufacturing documentation.

• Familiarity with AS9100 requirements.

Preferred Skills

• 5-axis CNC milling programming experience.

• Advanced multi-axis machining experience.

• Experience programming complex aerospace components.

• Experience supporting First Article Inspection activities.

• Experience optimizing machining programs for cycle time, tooling performance, and dimensional accuracy.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop CNC milling programs using Mastercam.

• Create and modify toolpaths for 3-axis and 4-axis machining operations.

• Develop multi-axis programs as required.

• Verify CNC programs prior to production release.

• Generate and validate posted CNC code.

• Revise existing CNC programs based on machining, tooling, or engineering requirements.

• Select cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies based on material and part requirements.

• Apply GD&T and engineering drawing requirements to CNC programming.

• Support CNC machine setup and program prove-out activities.

• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues during prove-out and production.

• Support machining of aerospace materials and high-precision components.

• Maintain controlled CNC programming and manufacturing documentation.

• Support First Article and AS9100-related manufacturing requirements.

Pay: 33-45/hr

Pay Details: $33.00 to $45.00 per hour
