Project Manager
Senior Solid Waste Engineer responsible for design, permitting, project management, and operations support for landfill, landfill gas, composting, and solid waste infrastructure projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain Florida reciprocity within 6 months
- 8+ years of experience in solid waste engineering and project management
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Landfill gas management
- Air compliance
- Landfill design and permitting
- Landfill operations support
- Compost facility operations
- Experience working with South Florida EPA regulations
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or comparable CAD software
- Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations, regulatory agencies, and permitting requirements
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing landfill infrastructure and solid waste facilities
- Experience supporting solid waste construction activities
- Experience with landfill gas collection and control systems
- Experience with composting facility design or operations
- Experience preparing environmental permit applications and regulatory submittals
Job Responsibilities
- Develop engineering designs for solid waste management projects.
- Support landfill, landfill gas, landfill infrastructure, and composting projects.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Manage permitting activities and coordinate with applicable regulatory agencies.
- Support air compliance and environmental regulatory requirements.
- Provide engineering support during construction and facility operations.
- Manage solid waste engineering projects from design through implementation.
- Coordinate project schedules, technical deliverables, and engineering resources.
- Review and prepare CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or comparable software.
- Support landfill operations and infrastructure improvement projects.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
