Field Service Manager
Manage field service operations, technical vehicle support, technician assignments, diagnostics, repairs, and customer-site service activities for wheeled vehicle systems.
Job Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- 5+ years of experience managing field service personnel such as technicians, mechanics, customer support representatives, or fleet service managers.
- Experience with field service operations management, including:
- Inventory tracking.
- Staff assignments.
- Performance metrics.
- Field repair coordination.
- Experience with vehicle repair and customer support.
- Experience reading wheeled vehicle service manuals.
- Experience interpreting wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Experience diagnosing fault codes and electrical system issues.
- Experience using electronic diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of diagnostic platforms such as:
- Premium Tech Tool.
- Military Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals.
- Allison DOC.
- Bendix AE.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- Ability to work onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
- Ability to occasionally support customers outside standard business hours.
Preferred Skills
- Prior military vehicle mechanic experience, including MOS 91A, 91B, or similar.
- Experience supporting military wheeled vehicles.
- Experience supporting commercial fleet vehicles.
- Experience providing technical support at military installations or commercial customer facilities.
- Experience coordinating corrective actions for vehicle repair issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate field service technicians, mechanics, and support personnel.
- Serve as the technical point of contact between field service personnel, dealerships, maintenance facilities, engineering teams, and customers.
- Coordinate field repair actions and corrective maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance for vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Support technicians and mechanics in diagnosing complex customer vehicle issues.
- Review vehicle fault codes, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and diagnostic data.
- Use electronic diagnostic tools to support troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Coordinate personnel assignments, inventory requirements, and field service resources.
- Track operational data and field service performance metrics.
- Travel to military installations and commercial customer locations to support vehicle repairs and field service activities.
- Coordinate technical issues with engineering and maintenance teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external field service support.
Pay Details: $24.00 to $33.00 per hour
