Set up and operate precision laser welding equipment to assemble small components while performing in-process inspection and maintaining required manufacturing documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Experience with laser welding or a similar precision welding or fabrication process.

  • Experience setting up and operating manufacturing equipment.

  • Ability to perform detailed, repetitive work with small components.

  • Ability to follow detailed manufacturing procedures and work instructions.

  • Experience performing visual or dimensional inspection.

  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or vision inspection equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and work orders.

  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Skills

  • Small parts assembly experience.

  • 1–2+ years of manufacturing experience.

  • Experience with automated micro-welding or CNC laser systems.

  • Medical device manufacturing experience.

  • Cleanroom manufacturing experience.

  • Experience in FDA- or ISO-regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Experience inspecting components under a microscope.

  • Experience with nonconformance reporting and NCR documentation.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and production data entry systems.

  • Experience working with steel, titanium, plastic, or other precision device components.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, operate, and monitor automated laser welding equipment.

  • Perform precision micro-welding on small components and assemblies.

  • Load and replenish raw materials used in production.

  • Align and join small components according to engineering tolerances.

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections during production.

  • Inspect weld quality and structural integrity using microscopes, vision systems, and precision measuring tools.

  • Identify machine faults, process anomalies, and material defects.

  • Document nonconforming parts using applicable NCR processes.

  • Complete Device History Records, production logs, and manufacturing documentation.

  • Maintain product traceability in accordance with regulated manufacturing requirements.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures, cleanroom requirements, and applicable safety procedures.

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on laser welding equipment.

  • Maintain equipment and work areas according to applicable cleanroom and manufacturing requirements.

Pay: 17-21/hr

Pay Details: $17.00 to $21.00 per hour
