Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a corporate or commercial environment.
  • Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience analyzing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Ability to analyze technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier capabilities, and parts availability.
  • Experience sourcing suppliers and obtaining vendor quotations.
  • Experience monitoring supplier quality, delivery, and pricing performance.
  • Experience identifying cost reduction opportunities.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and networking.
  • Experience creating, tracking, and managing purchase orders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience within the aviation industry.
  • Experience supporting engineering and logistics organizations.
  • Experience with inventory management and inventory control processes.
  • Experience supporting receiving and material tracking activities.
  • Experience with automated supply chain management systems.
  • Experience supporting kitting operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Source suppliers for parts, materials, equipment, and related requirements.
  • Issue, track, and manage purchase orders.
  • Obtain supplier quotations and prepare purchasing recommendations for review.
  • Monitor supplier delivery schedules and report potential delays.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities with engineering and logistics functions.
  • Review engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical requirements to support procurement decisions.
  • Analyze supplier capabilities, manufacturing limitations, pricing, and material availability.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve quality, delivery, pricing, and order-related issues.
  • Track supplier performance against delivery, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Support inventory planning and maintain adequate stock levels for required materials.
  • Support inventory control and receiving activities as needed.
  • Maintain inventory tracking and audit trail records using applicable systems.
  • Support material kitting requirements.
  • Maintain purchasing records and ensure order accuracy and compliance with applicable procurement requirements.


Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
