Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspections on industrial equipment to verify functionality and compliance with engineering specifications.

Job Requirements

  • Experience testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.

  • Experience using electrical test instruments, hand tools, and air tools in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

  • Experience using computers to configure equipment communications and test systems.

  • Knowledge of transformers and industrial electrical systems.

  • Knowledge of Wye and Delta electrical connections.

  • Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical circuits.

  • Knowledge of protective relays and electrical control schemes.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, and test procedures.

  • Experience working safely around energized electrical equipment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot energized circuits with 120 volts present.

  • Ability to work around equipment with voltages up to 200 kV.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to travel throughout a manufacturing facility as required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience performing electrical quality assurance inspections.

  • Experience testing high-voltage industrial equipment.

  • Experience verifying finished equipment against engineering and customer specifications.

  • Experience evaluating electrical wiring and equipment workmanship.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical testing on industrial equipment and components.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical system failures.

  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and communication systems.

  • Configure test equipment and communications using computer-based tools.

  • Use electrical test instruments to verify voltage, continuity, functionality, and system performance.

  • Inspect completed equipment for workmanship and proper assembly.

  • Verify equipment functionality against engineering specifications and test procedures.

  • Confirm finished equipment meets applicable customer and quality requirements.

  • Read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering documentation, and test procedures.

  • Troubleshoot energized electrical circuits in accordance with applicable safety procedures.

  • Document test results, defects, and equipment issues identified during testing and inspection.

Pay: 18-22/hr
