Structural Engineer
Senior Structural Engineer responsible for structural analysis, design, calculation review, and technical execution of steel and concrete structures for industrial facilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience.
- Experience designing and analyzing structural steel and reinforced concrete systems.
- Strong knowledge of lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic loading.
- Proficiency with U.S. building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
- Experience with structural engineering analysis software.
- Experience with STAAD.
- Experience with Navisworks.
- Experience with Bluebeam.
- Experience performing engineering calculations and calculation checks.
- Experience leading small structural engineering teams.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Experience with semiconductor industrial facilities.
- Experience with general industrial facility design.
- Experience providing technical guidance to structural designers, drafters, and engineers.
- Experience developing or improving structural engineering workflows, systems, and tools.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures.
- Perform lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic loading.
- Apply applicable IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC requirements to structural designs.
- Develop engineering calculations, design criteria, and structural documentation.
- Independently evaluate and select appropriate engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria.
- Perform calculation checking and technical reviews of other engineers’ work.
- Manage assigned portions of the structural scope in accordance with schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
- Define structural scope and estimate the engineering effort required for assigned work.
- Identify and document changes to structural scope.
- Provide technical guidance to designers, drafters, and less experienced engineers.
- Support structural design coordination with project and engineering teams.
- Use STAAD and other structural analysis software to develop and validate designs.
- Review structural models and project information using Navisworks and Bluebeam.
- Support improvements to structural engineering workflows, tools, and design processes.
Pay Details: $42.00 to $57.00 per hour
