Service Technician

Provides on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for industrial welding, material-handling, and automation equipment.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• 2+ years of experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or industrial troubleshooting.

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.

• Basic electrical knowledge.

• Ability to read electrical schematics.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to travel up to 70%, including overnight travel.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Ability to work in manufacturing and industrial plant environments.

• Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.

• Experience supporting equipment installation, startup, or commissioning activities.

Preferred Skills

• Technical certification or associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related field.

• Experience with welding equipment.

• Experience with material-handling equipment.

• Familiarity with PLC systems and basic control logic.

• Siemens control system experience.

• Allen-Bradley control system experience.

• Experience with robotic equipment and automation systems.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

• Experience reading P&ID diagrams.

• Experience with SCADA systems.

• Experience with HMI systems.

• Industrial maintenance or electro-mechanical certification.

• Experience performing basic mechanical repairs.

• Weldment assembly experience.

• Previous field service experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Install industrial automation equipment at customer facilities.

• Perform equipment startup and system commissioning.

• Conduct functional testing and system optimization.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and robotic system issues.

• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.

• Complete corrective maintenance and equipment repairs.

• Diagnose equipment failures and replace or repair components as required.

• Support welding and material-handling automation systems.

• Provide on-site technical support for equipment operation and system issues.

• Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting procedures.

• Read and apply electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation during service activities.

• Support PLC, control system, HMI, and automation troubleshooting as applicable.

• Document service activities, equipment issues, repairs, and commissioning results.

• Travel to customer locations for installation, startup, maintenance, and service activities.
  

Pay: 27-36/hr

Pay Details: $27.00 to $36.00 per hour
