EHS Specialist
Leads environmental, health, and safety programs across manufacturing sites, including OSHA/EPA compliance, hazardous waste management, industrial hygiene, training, audits, and environmental monitoring.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
3–5 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining EHS programs.
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements.
Experience with chemical safety and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Experience with industrial hygiene principles and exposure controls.
Experience with hazardous waste handling, labeling, storage, and regulatory compliance.
Experience conducting EHS inspections and regulatory compliance audits.
Experience supporting environmental monitoring activities.
Knowledge of workers’ compensation management, including return-to-work and light-duty programs.
Ability to work any shift as required.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Ability to travel as needed.
Ability to climb ladders and perform hands-on EHS activities on the manufacturing floor.
Ability to complete required medical, vision, hearing, and color assessments.
Preferred Skills
Current RCRA certification.
Current DOT certification.
Current OSHA certification.
Auditor certification.
Experience with U.S. and European EHS regulations.
Global EHS compliance experience.
Experience with wastewater sampling and environmental monitoring.
Experience improving underperforming EHS programs.
Experience maintaining mature EHS and safety management systems.
Experience developing measurable safety improvements and reducing workplace incidents.
Experience tracking and reporting EHS performance metrics.
Job Responsibilities
Lead environmental, occupational health, and safety programs across manufacturing locations.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, environmental, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Conduct random EHS and regulatory compliance inspections at company facilities.
Develop and maintain monitoring systems for environmental emissions and equipment performance.
Manage hazardous waste handling, labeling, storage, documentation, and compliance activities.
Support chemical safety programs and maintain applicable SDS requirements.
Conduct or coordinate industrial hygiene assessments and environmental monitoring.
Support wastewater sampling and other required environmental testing activities.
Manage workers’ compensation activities, including return-to-work and light-duty programs.
Develop and implement corrective actions resulting from inspections, incidents, audits, and regulatory findings.
Identify and implement safety improvements designed to reduce incidents and improve workplace conditions.
Coordinate and deliver EHS and regulatory training.
Support new employee facility and safety orientation.
Conduct incident investigations and track corrective actions.
Maintain EHS compliance records, metrics, inspection results, and regulatory documentation.
Support internal and external EHS audits.
Monitor EHS performance across locations and report trends, compliance status, and improvement results.
Pay: 85k-95k/year

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
