Quality Engineer
Supports product quality, reliability, manufacturing operations, validation, CAPA, and quality system compliance for electro-mechanical products.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or quality engineering role.
Experience within an electro-mechanical or similar manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting manufacturing quality activities.
Experience analyzing product, manufacturing, test, or field quality data.
Experience participating in root cause investigations.
Knowledge of structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or 8D.
Experience supporting CAPA activities.
Experience working within a Quality Management System.
Experience with manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, Device History Records, Bills of Materials, or routers.
Experience supporting validation or process improvement activities.
Preferred Skills
Experience with precision assemblies.
Experience with optical products or systems.
Experience with high-reliability products.
Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Experience with qualification and reliability testing.
Experience creating quality reports and dashboards.
Experience supporting design transfer activities.
Experience with internal quality audits.
Knowledge of applicable ISO or regulated quality requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Support definition and verification of product quality and reliability requirements.
Participate in product qualification and reliability testing.
Analyze product performance and quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
Participate in root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies.
Support defect reduction, yield improvement, and product reliability initiatives.
Provide day-to-day quality engineering support to manufacturing operations.
Assist with implementation of containment actions, including Stop Ship and Stop Build activities.
Collect, clean, and analyze quality data from manufacturing, test, and field systems.
Develop reports and dashboards to support quality and manufacturing decisions.
Support design transfer activities.
Review and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, DHRs, BOMs, and routers.
Participate in validation and process improvement activities.
Support CAPA investigations, documentation, implementation, and effectiveness verification.
Maintain and improve quality system documentation, procedures, inspection criteria, and metrics.
Ensure compliance with applicable QMS, regulatory, and ISO requirements.
Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Pay: 80k-90k/year
