2nd Shift Milling Machinist
Sets up, programs, and operates CNC milling equipment to produce close-tolerance components from metals and plastics.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
- CNC milling experience required.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines.
- Experience with G-code and M-code programming.
- Experience deburring machined components.
- Ability to identify tool wear and make machine offset adjustments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Experience machining a variety of metals and plastics.
- Experience producing components to close dimensional tolerances.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with HAAS CNC milling machines.
- Experience programming CNC milling equipment.
- Experience with multi-axis machining.
- Experience selecting cutting tools and machining processes.
- Experience performing in-process dimensional inspection.
Job Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines.
- Interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, sketches, and dimensional requirements.
- Determine machining processes, tooling, workholding, and programming requirements.
- Create and modify G-code and M-code programs.
- Load and align tooling and workpieces for machining operations.
- Monitor machining operations for dimensional accuracy and tool condition.
- Detect tool wear and make required offset adjustments.
- Machine close-tolerance components from metals, plastics, and other specified materials.
- Deburr and finish machined components.
- Inspect completed parts to verify compliance with engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining, setup, tooling, and programming issues.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
