Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Approximately 7 years of experience programming and setting up Swiss CNC machines.
  • Experience programming, setting up, and running multi-axis CNC lathes.
  • Ability to create fixtures and tooling.
  • Experience machining metals, exotic metals, and plastics.
  • Experience working with GD&T and close-tolerance components.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Experience inspecting completed work and verifying dimensional requirements.
  • Experience troubleshooting machining issues.
  • Experience evaluating and recommending cutting tools and tooling strategies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SolidWorks.
  • CMM inspection experience.
  • Experience with advanced fixture and tooling design.
  • Experience machining complex precision components.
  • Experience with in-process inspection and dimensional validation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate Swiss CNC machines and multi-axis CNC lathes.
  • Interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, sketches, and GD&T requirements.
  • Determine machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and programming strategies.
  • Create and modify CNC programs for production machining.
  • Design and create fixtures and tooling as required.
  • Machine components from metals, exotic alloys, plastics, and other specified materials.
  • Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components.
  • Verify close-tolerance dimensions against engineering requirements.
  • Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, and setup issues.
  • Evaluate cutting tool performance and recommend tooling improvements.
  • Make machine and process adjustments based on inspection results and production requirements.


Pay Details: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
