CNC Operators

Operates CNC Swiss machining equipment to produce precision components in accordance with blueprints, dimensional specifications, and quality requirements.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of relevant CNC machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating CNC Swiss machines.
• Working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, and basic shop mathematics.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specification drawings, and written work instructions.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, snap gauges, optical comparators, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Experience performing dimensional inspection of machined components.
• Ability to adjust tooling and work offsets.

Preferred Skills

• Technical education or professional machining certification.
• Experience operating multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
• Experience with QMA, MAZ, and SPC databases.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on CNC machining equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assigned CNC Swiss machining centers.
• Run multiple machines simultaneously as production requirements dictate.
• Adjust tooling and work offsets to maintain dimensional requirements.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to manufacture parts within required tolerances.
• Load raw material and unload completed components.
• Measure and inspect parts according to engineering drawings and quality plans.
• Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections on machined components.
• Inspect components produced by other machinists as required.
• Make machining adjustments based on inspection and measurement results.
• Use micrometers, digital calipers, snap gauges, optical comparators, and other measuring equipment.
• Enter and review applicable production and quality information using QMA, MAZ, and SPC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, including maintaining lubricant and coolant levels.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $25.00 per hour
