Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience with Windows 7, Windows 10, and Windows 11 environments.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Experience with Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-422, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and networking protocols.
  • Working knowledge of serial communications, Ethernet, IP/MAC addressing, VLANs, broadcast, and multicast networking.
  • Experience using spectrum analyzers, power meters, audio analyzers, signal/function generators, oscilloscopes, and related test instrumentation.
  • Experience developing or maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software test systems.
  • Ability to develop and release technical project documentation and engineering drawings.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Python or Android development.
  • Experience with SAP and JIRA.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
  • Familiarity with ARINC standards applicable to in-flight entertainment or airborne satellite communication systems.
  • Knowledge of digital and RF test techniques.
  • Experience with audio and video analysis.
  • Knowledge of NTSC video standards.
  • Experience supporting OEMs, suppliers, contract manufacturers, repair stations, or field service organizations.
  • Experience with test equipment obsolescence and sustaining engineering.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance of in-service test systems and implement solutions to maintain required performance levels.
  • Lead technical meetings related to test systems, sustaining engineering, and product support.
  • Coordinate with engineering and project teams to define, design, and develop test solutions.
  • Implement engineering change orders affecting hardware and software test tools.
  • Investigate and resolve test system defects with engineering and support teams.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on product testability and test implementation.
  • Develop solutions for obsolete test hardware, software, and instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot test issues at manufacturing facilities and repair locations.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and supporting software.
  • Define and release technical documentation and drawings for test equipment and tooling.
  • Support technical issue resolution with OEMs, suppliers, contract manufacturers, and customers.
  • Develop sustaining engineering solutions that reduce test and repair costs.
  • Define project scope, estimated engineering hours, level of effort, and project cost.
  • Prepare RFQs, purchase requisitions, and manage procurement activities for test equipment and tooling.
  • Support compliance with applicable engineering policies, procedures, and product requirements.


Pay Details: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
