Metrology Technician

Conduct inspection and quality control of aerospace parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience with aerospace parts and components

• Experience in manufacturing, MRO, or airline environments

• Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality standards

• Experience with nonconforming material control processes

• Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect aerospace components including engines, avionics, and structural assemblies

• Perform preliminary, in-process, and final inspections

• Use measuring devices to verify dimensions, identify defects, and assess damage

• Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) using systems such as TipQA or Apriso

• Perform receiving inspection for incoming materials

• Tag, identify, and quarantine nonconforming or non-repairable items

• Support and lead technical investigations related to quality issues

Preferred Skills

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification

• Familiarity with aerospace inspection practices and quality systems

• Experience with TipQA, Apriso, or similar quality management systems

• Knowledge of inspection processes for complex aerospace assemblies

Pay Details: $31.00 to $42.00 per hour
