Develop, improve, and implement electrical test processes, relay and PLC-based control testing, and automated test equipment for industrial electrical systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering may be considered with relevant industry experience and active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree

  • Test engineering experience developing, improving, and implementing electrical test processes

  • Experience programming, configuring, and verifying relays and control systems

  • Experience with PLC-based industrial control systems

  • Experience designing and building electrical test equipment, fixtures, and test stations

  • Experience evaluating existing test methods and implementing process improvements

  • Knowledge of electrical testing principles and test process development

  • Experience providing technical direction for test execution

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories PLCs or relays

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs

  • Experience with Siemens PLCs

  • Experience with industrial relays and control systems

  • Electrical troubleshooting experience

  • Experience building wire harnesses

  • Experience assembling electrical components and control systems

  • Experience developing automated or semi-automated test systems

  • Experience supporting Test Technicians in a manufacturing environment

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve electrical testing processes

  • Program and configure relays and PLC-based control systems

  • Verify relay, PLC, and control system functionality

  • Determine appropriate methods for testing electrical products and assemblies

  • Evaluate existing test processes for efficiency, quality, and reliability improvements

  • Design and build test equipment, fixtures, and test stations

  • Recommend new test equipment and testing methodologies

  • Troubleshoot electrical test failures and control system issues

  • Implement test process improvements

  • Develop test procedures and supporting technical documentation

  • Provide technical direction to Test Technicians

  • Support validation and verification of electrical test equipment

  • Assist with wire harness and electrical assembly testing

  • Maintain and improve test processes throughout the product lifecycle

Pay: 75k-95k/year
