Glassware Inventory Specialist
Process, sanitize, inspect, track, and maintain laboratory glassware and related equipment within controlled laboratory environments.
Job Requirements
Associate degree in a scientific or technical discipline, or high school diploma/equivalent with at least two years of laboratory or related operational experience
Prior experience with glass wash or laboratory support services
Familiarity with autoclaves, glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers, ultrasonic baths, or similar laboratory equipment
Ability to work in controlled laboratory environments requiring personal protective equipment
Ability to follow contamination control, sanitization, and laboratory handling procedures
Experience maintaining equipment logs and controlled documentation
Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices
Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
Ability to handle hazardous waste according to applicable local, state, and federal requirements
Ability to complete respiratory protection training, fit testing, or medical clearance when required
Ability to work around biological materials, hazardous chemicals, and temperature-related laboratory hazards
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and move between laboratory areas as required
Ability to bend, squat, stretch, reach, and operate laboratory equipment
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to perform close visual inspection of laboratory materials and equipment
Preferred Skills
Experience operating autoclaves
Experience with glassware decontamination and sanitization
Experience performing equipment descaling
Experience maintaining laboratory inventory
Experience training or mentoring laboratory support personnel
Experience supporting process improvement initiatives
Experience working in regulated laboratory environments
Experience supporting multiple laboratory service functions
Job Responsibilities
Collect, transport, and deliver laboratory glassware and plasticware
Handle contaminated and non-contaminated laboratory materials according to approved procedures
Operate glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers, ultrasonic baths, and related equipment
Prepare glassware, caps, and related items for sanitization
Inspect processed glassware for cleanliness, residue, and structural defects
Maintain temperature chart recorders and equipment logs
Complete required documentation according to GDP requirements
Perform routine operational checks on glass wash equipment
Conduct monthly descaling and basic preventive maintenance activities
Monitor glassware inventory levels and report shortages or deficiencies
Maintain glassware processing and storage areas
Follow applicable health, safety, environmental, security, and operational requirements
Handle and label hazardous waste according to applicable procedures
Complete required laboratory and safety training
Train new personnel on glassware processing activities as assigned
Support laboratory process improvement initiatives
Cross-train and provide backup support for additional laboratory support functions
Pay: 17-21/hr

Pay Details: $17.00 to $21.00 per hour
