Test Technician - 2nd Shift
Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspection of industrial electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Job Requirements
Experience testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
Proficiency with electrical test instruments
Experience using hand tools and air tools in a manufacturing environment
Experience troubleshooting PLC systems
Ability to use computers to configure communications and test equipment
Knowledge of transformers
Knowledge of Wye and Delta electrical connections
Understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical circuits
Knowledge of protective relays and electrical control schemes
Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, and test procedures
Experience inspecting finished electrical equipment for workmanship and functionality
Ability to verify equipment compliance with engineering and customer specifications
Ability to work safely around energized electrical equipment
Ability to troubleshoot energized circuits with 120 volts present
Ability to work around equipment involving voltages up to 200 kV
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to travel throughout a manufacturing facility as required
Preferred Skills
Experience testing industrial electrical equipment
Experience with high-voltage electrical systems
Experience performing final quality assurance inspections
Experience with protective relay testing
Experience with electrical control and communication systems
Experience configuring computerized test equipment
Experience working in industrial manufacturing or electrical equipment production environments
Job Responsibilities
Perform electrical testing on completed equipment and assemblies
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and systems
Configure test equipment and communication interfaces using computer-based tools
Test single-phase and three-phase circuits
Evaluate transformer connections, including Wye and Delta configurations
Test protective relays and control circuits
Troubleshoot energized electrical circuits
Read and apply electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and test procedures
Perform final quality assurance inspections on completed equipment
Inspect workmanship, wiring, assembly, and equipment functionality
Verify completed equipment meets engineering and customer specifications
Document test results, defects, and troubleshooting findings
Use electrical test instruments, hand tools, and air tools during testing and repair activities
Follow applicable electrical and manufacturing safety procedures
Pay: 24-28/hr
