Sr. Glassware Specialist
Support glassware processing, sterilization, laboratory material handling, equipment operation, and controlled documentation within a regulated laboratory environment.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, or Associate degree in a scientific discipline with at least two years of relevant laboratory or operational experience, or high school diploma/equivalent with at least five years of laboratory, manufacturing, or related operational experience
Prior experience with glass wash or laboratory support services
Experience developing, revising, or maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
Experience training or mentoring personnel on laboratory procedures
Experience operating laboratory support equipment
Knowledge of contamination control and laboratory material handling procedures
Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices
Ability to maintain equipment logs, temperature records, and controlled documentation
Experience performing routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
Preferred Skills
Experience operating autoclaves
Experience operating glassware washers
Experience with dry heat sterilizers
Experience with ultrasonic baths
Experience in regulated laboratory or manufacturing environments
Experience with glassware decontamination and sanitization processes
Experience maintaining laboratory inventory
Experience with laboratory equipment software
Experience supporting continuous process improvement activities
Job Responsibilities
Develop, revise, and follow Standard Operating Procedures for glassware processing and laboratory support activities
Train personnel on glassware processing procedures, equipment operation, and safety requirements
Collect, transport, and deliver laboratory glassware and plasticware
Handle contaminated and non-contaminated laboratory materials according to approved procedures
Operate autoclaves for decontamination and sanitization
Operate glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers, and ultrasonic baths
Prepare glassware, caps, and related components for sanitization
Inspect glassware for cleanliness, residue, and structural defects
Perform routine inspections and operational checks on autoclaves and glass wash equipment
Complete equipment descaling and preventive maintenance activities
Maintain temperature chart recorders, equipment logs, and associated records using GDP requirements
Monitor glassware and laboratory supply inventory levels
Report inventory shortages and equipment deficiencies
Maintain glassware processing areas according to housekeeping and contamination-control requirements
Follow applicable health, safety, environmental, security, and operational procedures
Support process improvement activities related to laboratory support operations
Cross-train and provide backup support for additional laboratory support functions
Operate laboratory equipment and software according to approved training and procedures
Pay: 18-24/hr

Pay Details: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour
