Packaging Engineering Laboratory Technician

Perform package testing, sample preparation, laboratory equipment operation, and documentation within a packaging engineering laboratory.

Job Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to follow written test procedures and laboratory instructions

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to work in a laboratory environment

• Ability to operate laboratory test equipment

• Ability to maintain accurate test records and documentation

• Knowledge of basic laboratory safety and quality requirements

Preferred Skills

• Experience with package testing or packaging laboratory operations

• Experience using compression testers

• Experience using environmental chambers

• Experience using seal strength testers

• Experience using leak test systems

• Experience with equipment calibration and preventive maintenance

• Experience preparing and conditioning test samples

• Familiarity with regulated or quality-controlled laboratory environments

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine package testing according to established procedures

• Prepare, label, condition, and document test samples

• Operate compression testers, environmental chambers, seal strength testers, leak test systems, and related laboratory equipment

• Record test results and maintain laboratory documentation

• Assist with calibration of laboratory equipment

• Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment

• Assist with troubleshooting laboratory equipment

• Support packaging engineering project activities and work requests

• Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and work areas

• Follow applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Pay: 27-31/hr

Pay Details: $27.00 to $31.00 per hour
