CNC Programmer
Develops and verifies CNC programs for complex aerospace components using Mastercam and Vericut to prevent collisions, protect one-off parts, and support reliable machinist execution.
Job Requirements
Advanced CNC programming experience using Mastercam
Advanced Vericut simulation and verification experience
Aerospace component programming experience
Experience programming complex, high-value, or one-off machined parts
Strong knowledge of cutting tools, holders, fixtures, workholding, and machine envelopes
Ability to create complete CNC programs, setup documentation, and tooling instructions for machinist use
Experience identifying and preventing tool, holder, fixture, machine, and part collisions
Ability to verify toolpaths, offsets, clearance planes, machine travel, and setup orientation before production
Knowledge of close-tolerance aerospace machining requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Skills
Active security clearance
Experience programming multi-axis CNC mills or lathes
Experience with 5-axis machining
Experience developing Vericut machine configurations and digital-twin simulations
Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Okuma, or comparable CNC controls
Experience programming titanium, Inconel, hardened steel, aluminum, and other aerospace materials
Experience supporting first-article and prototype machining
Knowledge of GD&T and aerospace blueprint interpretation
Job Responsibilities
Create CNC programs for complex aerospace parts using Mastercam
Verify CNC programs using Vericut before release to production
Simulate complete machining operations, including tools, holders, fixtures, workholding, stock, and machine movement
Identify and eliminate toolpath collisions, overtravel, gouging, and clearance issues
Confirm programs will not damage high-value, prototype, or one-off components
Select cutting tools, holders, fixtures, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies
Develop setup sheets, tool lists, operation sequences, and machinist instructions
Produce programs that can be safely and consistently executed by CNC machinists
Review engineering drawings, models, specifications, and GD&T requirements
Validate post-processed code against programmed toolpaths and machine capabilities
Support machine prove-out and first-article production
Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, dimensional, and surface-finish issues
Revise programs based on prove-out results, inspection findings, and production feedback
Coordinate with machinists, manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, and tooling suppliers
Maintain CNC program revisions, simulation records, setup documentation, and tooling data
Support process improvements involving cycle time, tool life, machining stability, and part protection
Pay: 40-60/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
