Job Requirements

  • Approximately 7 years of CNC machining experience

  • Advanced CNC lathe machining experience with C-axis and Y-axis equipment

  • Experience using multiple jaw sizes and 16C and 5C collets

  • Experience with multi-axis CNC turning

  • Experience with live tooling and sub-spindle operations

  • Ability to perform complex machine setups

  • Experience producing and inspecting first-article components

  • Advanced knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

  • Experience machining parts with tight dimensional tolerances

  • Experience machining hard-to-cut alloys and heat-resistant aerospace materials

  • Working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA quality requirements

  • Proficiency with precision inspection tools and measuring equipment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience operating Okuma CNC machines

  • Experience programming or operating Fanuc controls

  • Experience with Y-axis turning centers

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience

  • Experience documenting inspections and production results within regulated quality systems

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate multi-axis CNC lathes

  • Perform turning operations using C-axis, Y-axis, live-tooling, and sub-spindle capabilities

  • Select and install jaws, collets, tooling, and workholding components

  • Complete complex machine setups according to engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions

  • Produce first-article and production components

  • Machine aerospace components from hard alloys and heat-resistant materials

  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, finishes, and geometric requirements

  • Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments

  • Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and process parameters to maintain specifications

  • Follow established machining procedures, work instructions, and production standards

  • Maintain compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, FAA, and applicable quality requirements

  • Document setup information, inspection results, and production records

  • Identify and correct tooling, setup, dimensional, and machining-process issues

  • Maintain consistent production of conforming precision components

Pay: 35-42/hr
