Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and test methodologies

  • Experience creating or executing engineering test plans and procedures

  • Ability to set up and operate electrical test equipment

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and documenting test data

  • Knowledge of automotive electrical components and systems

  • Ability to interpret test results and identify potential performance or failure issues

  • Experience preparing technical reports, test summaries, and engineering documentation

Preferred Skills

  • Recent electrical engineering graduate with automotive industry internship experience

  • Experience testing batteries, wiring harnesses, starters, or alternators

  • Experience testing vehicle entry systems, start-stop systems, key fobs, or relay boxes

  • Experience with Controller Area Network tools and vehicle communication systems

  • Knowledge of automotive regulatory and internal testing standards

  • Experience developing test specifications, data settings, and test schedules

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans and procedures for automotive electrical parts, components, and systems

  • Evaluate design feasibility and verify compliance with performance targets and acceptance criteria

  • Create test specifications, standards, data settings, and testing schedules

  • Prepare and configure test equipment and test environments

  • Conduct moderately complex electrical component and vehicle system tests

  • Test under-hood components, including batteries, harnesses, starters, and alternators

  • Test vehicle entry systems, start-stop systems, key fobs, and relay boxes

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of test execution and recorded data

  • Determine whether additional testing is required

  • Analyze and interpret test results

  • Predict component performance and potential failure conditions

  • Identify design or testing issues and develop corrective countermeasures

  • Recommend design changes based on test findings

  • Prepare written test reports, conclusions, and technical presentations

  • Provide test data and findings to product and design engineering teams

Pay: 35-40/hr

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
