CAD Table Operator
Programs and operates CAD cutting equipment to produce precision-cut foam, corrugated, and protective packaging components.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Two or more years of experience operating CAD cutting tables, CNC cutting equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery
Experience creating, modifying, or optimizing cutting programs using CAD/CAM software
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, production orders, and work instructions
Basic computer skills and experience using manufacturing software systems
Ability to set up cutting heads, routing tools, machine tooling, and material hold-down systems
Experience performing dimensional inspections and verifying parts against specifications
Ability to troubleshoot machine programming, tooling, and operational issues
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to regularly lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, reach, and handle raw materials and finished products
Ability to work around cutting equipment and moving machinery
Preferred Skills
Experience operating Kongsberg cutting systems
Experience with ArtiosCAD, AutoCAD, Esko, or comparable CAD platforms
Experience in custom packaging, crating, foam fabrication, or industrial manufacturing
Knowledge of protective packaging design and fabrication methods
Experience working with polyethylene foam, polyurethane foam, corrugated board, and related packaging materials
Knowledge of foam, corrugated, cushioning, and protective packaging material characteristics
Experience operating multiple digital or CNC cutting tables
Experience with routing and specialty cutting tools
Job Responsibilities
Operate and maintain CAD cutting tables and CNC cutting systems
Program cutting paths using CAD/CAM software
Modify and optimize cutting programs for material utilization and production efficiency
Interpret customer specifications, engineering drawings, and production work orders
Produce custom foam inserts, cushioning components, corrugated packaging, and protective packaging products
Set up machine tooling, cutting heads, routing tools, and material hold-down systems
Load and position foam, corrugated board, and other packaging materials
Verify material type, dimensions, and specifications before production
Perform first-piece inspections and ongoing dimensional quality checks
Verify finished components meet drawing and customer requirements
Monitor cutting equipment performance during production
Diagnose and resolve programming, tooling, and machine-operation issues
Coordinate production schedules and machine workloads
Maintain production, inspection, and material-usage records
Perform routine preventive maintenance and equipment cleaning
Support manufacturing process, material-utilization, and product-quality improvements
Follow applicable equipment safety and manufacturing procedures
Pay: 22-24/hr

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
