Structural Designer needed to develop 3D structural models, produce coordinated drawing sets, manage assigned design scope, and support structural design packages.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of structural drafting/design experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Revit experience
  • Experience developing 3D structural models from verbal instructions, markups, or conceptual sketches
  • Experience producing coordinated and constructible drawing sets
  • Experience reviewing models and documents for quality, completeness, and standards compliance
  • Experience coordinating with engineers and related disciplines
  • Experience applying department and client standards to design work

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate 3D structural models based on verbal instructions, markups, and conceptual sketches
  • Produce complete, coordinated, and constructible drawing sets for assigned scope
  • Apply department and client standards to structural design and documentation work
  • Own assigned scope from assignment through issuance, including coordination, schedule, and quality
  • Review models and documents for quality, completeness, and standards compliance before formal QA/QC
  • Coordinate with engineers and related disciplines to resolve design and documentation issues
  • Execute assigned scope without continuous oversight
  • Lead defined scopes or small packages through coordination and delivery
  • Guide small teams of designers on assigned packages
  • Coordinate team tasks and balance workloads to maintain progress and deadlines
  • Ensure quality and standards compliance across contributed work within assigned scope
  • Own internal reviews and support cross-discipline and external package reviews
  • Advance design automation skills and apply emerging technologies where appropriate


Pay Details: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
