Assembler/Crate Manufacturer

Builds large wooden shipping crates using woodworking techniques, precise measurements, and industrial hand and power tools.

Job Requirements

• Experience using hand and power tools

• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure to 1/16-inch increments

• Ability to measure, mark, and cut wood to specified dimensions

• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to operate nail guns, staple guns, table saws, radial arm saws, chop saws, and drills

• Ability to follow crate designs, measurements, and assembly specifications

Preferred Skills

• Carpentry or woodworking experience

• Experience constructing wooden crates, pallets, frames, or similar products

• Experience handling lumber and other heavy manufacturing materials

• Knowledge of basic woodworking joints, fasteners, and assembly methods

Job Responsibilities

• Construct large wooden crates for shipping and material transport

• Measure, mark, and cut lumber according to specifications

• Assemble crate panels, bases, frames, and supports

• Operate nail guns, staple guns, saws, drills, and other woodworking equipment

• Verify completed crates meet dimensional and structural requirements

• Select appropriate lumber, fasteners, and assembly materials

• Handle and position heavy materials during fabrication and assembly

• Inspect tools and equipment before use

• Maintain an organized woodworking and assembly area

• Follow equipment operating procedures and workplace safety requirements

Pay: 14-19/hr

Pay Details: $14.00 to $19.00 per hour
