Packaging Engineer
Develop and qualify consumer goods packaging solutions across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging applications.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Science, or a related engineering discipline
2–5 years of packaging engineering experience
Experience developing and designing packaging for consumer goods
Experience supporting packaging development for new product launches
Knowledge of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging systems
Experience coordinating and completing package design and material qualifications
Experience developing packaging component specifications
Working knowledge of packaging materials and converting processes
Preferred Skills
Experience with corrugated containers
Experience with folding cartons and solid fiberboard
Experience with plastic bottle packaging
Experience with flexible packaging
Experience with thermoformed packaging
Knowledge of injection-molded packaging components
Experience evaluating packaging materials, designs, and manufacturing methods
Job Responsibilities
Develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for new product launches
Create and evaluate packaging concepts, designs, materials, and components
Coordinate package qualification testing for new designs and materials
Develop and maintain packaging component specifications
Select packaging materials and converting methods based on product and manufacturing requirements
Support packaging trials, testing, validation, and implementation
Review packaging designs for manufacturability, performance, and material compatibility
Document packaging requirements, qualification results, and design changes
Pay: 50-55/hr

Pay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour
