Design Engineer / EIT - Florida
Design and produce civil construction plans, calculations, reports, and permit documents for residential land development projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 18 months to 2 years of civil design experience
- Current Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience completing independent CAD production, including sheet setup and layer management
- Experience with Hydraflow, ICPR, or comparable hydrologic and hydraulic analysis software
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, or comparable PDF review software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience preparing civil construction plans and technical calculations
- Experience with site grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion-control design
Preferred Skills
- Multifamily land development experience
- Single-family residential development experience
- Experience performing hydrologic and stormwater analyses
- Experience designing water and sanitary sewer systems
- Experience preparing earthwork calculations
- Knowledge of local permitting and construction-document requirements
- Experience developing tree management and landscape plans
Job Responsibilities
- Design and produce civil construction plans for residential development projects
- Perform AutoCAD Civil 3D production, including sheet creation, layer management, plan setup, and revisions
- Develop site grading and drainage plans
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
- Prepare stormwater calculations using Hydraflow, ICPR, or comparable software
- Develop earthwork calculations and grading models
- Prepare erosion and sedimentation control plans
- Design water distribution and sanitary sewer systems
- Develop utility plans and profiles
- Prepare tree management and landscape plans
- Produce technical reports, engineering calculations, and permit documentation
- Review drawings and documents using Bluebeam or comparable PDF software
- Coordinate design requirements with project stakeholders and permitting authorities
- Revise plans based on technical reviews, permit comments, and project changes
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
