CNC Operators

Operates multiple CNC Swiss machining centers, adjusts tooling and offsets, and inspects precision parts to blueprint and quality-plan requirements.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Three to five years of relevant machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• CNC Swiss machine operating experience
• Knowledge of machining practices
• Working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, and basic mathematics
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specification drawings, quality plans, and written work instructions
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, snap gauges, optical comparators, and other precision measuring instruments
• Experience adjusting tooling and work offsets
• Ability to inspect machined parts for dimensional compliance

Preferred Skills

• Professional machining certification or technical education
• Experience operating multiple machining centers simultaneously
• Experience using QMA, MAZ, or SPC databases
• Experience performing in-process inspections on parts produced by other operators
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on CNC equipment

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assigned CNC Swiss machining centers
• Run multiple machines simultaneously as required
• Adjust tooling, machine settings, and work offsets
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to produce parts within required tolerances
• Load raw materials and unload completed parts
• Measure and gauge parts according to engineering drawings and quality plans
• Inspect completed parts using snap gauges, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and related instruments
• Perform quality inspections on assigned parts and parts produced by other operators
• Make machine and tooling adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
• Record inspection and production data in QMA, MAZ, and SPC databases
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Check and replenish machine lubricants and coolants
• Report tooling, equipment, quality, or process issues

Pay Details: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour
