Job Requirements

  • Three to five years of quality control or quality assurance inspection experience

  • Aerospace or military manufacturing inspection experience

  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings

  • Experience inspecting mechanical parts using calipers, micrometers, durometers, and related measurement equipment

  • Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality standards

  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and inspection requirements

  • Experience reviewing technical documentation for aerospace products

  • Experience performing receiving inspections against drawings and purchase order requirements

  • Experience documenting defects through Non-Conformance Reports

  • Experience entering inspection and quality data into ERP systems

Preferred Skills

  • J-STD-001 Space Addendum knowledge or certification

  • NASA-STD-8739.1 knowledge or certification

  • NASA-STD-8739.4 knowledge or certification

  • Experience witnessing and documenting hardware torque operations

  • Experience inspecting in-process and completed aerospace assemblies

  • Knowledge of material certifications, inspection records, and supplier documentation

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect in-house products for compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements

  • Perform receiving inspections on purchased components and materials

  • Verify that received products and documentation comply with purchase orders and engineering drawings

  • Inspect mechanical parts using calipers, micrometers, durometers, and other inspection equipment

  • Witness hardware torquing and verify compliance with applicable procedures

  • Identify and document product defects and specification deviations

  • Create and process Non-Conformance Reports within the ERP system

  • Review material certifications, inspection reports, and technical documentation

  • Coordinate inspection activities with Quality Control inspectors and Quality Assurance engineering

  • Maintain inspection records and product acceptance documentation

  • Support compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable aerospace workmanship standards

Pay: 30-35/hr

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
