Autocad Mechanical Designer
CAD Drafter responsible for preparing, revising, organizing, and maintaining technical drawings for piping, layouts, fabrication details, civil details, and as-built records.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate degree or 3 years of practical drafting experience
Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD
Experience with CADWorx and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D
Experience preparing and revising P&IDs, general layouts, plans and profiles, fabrication drawings, isometrics, and pipe support details
Experience creating drawings from sketches and redlines
Experience with detail drawings, assembly drawings, and general arrangement drawings
Ability to perform site visits and field verification
Ability to follow Management of Change processes
Preferred Skills
Experience converting legacy drawing formats to standardized CAD formats
Experience maintaining organized drawing databases
Experience using standardized file naming conventions
Experience preparing minor civil drawings for equipment foundations and buildings
Experience supporting as-built records for existing facilities and capital projects
Experience coordinating drawing updates with engineers, project teams, and vendors
Job Responsibilities
Use AutoCAD to prepare and revise P&IDs, general layouts, plans and profiles, fabrication drawings, isometrics, and pipe support details
Create finished designs from sketches and redlines
Revise detail drawings, assembly drawings, and general arrangement drawings
Set up and maintain an organized file system and drawing database
Apply standardized naming conventions to drawing files
Convert legacy formats, including Visio and AutoCAD LT, to a consistent drawing standard
Perform site visits and field verification to confirm drawing accuracy
Prepare minor civil drawings for equipment foundations and buildings
Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and vendors to maintain accurate electronic drawings
Update vendor resources and related drawing references
Follow Management of Change processes for capital projects and facility modifications
Support development of as-built records for existing facilities and capital projects
Pay: 36-48/hr

Pay Details: $36.00 to $48.00 per hour
