Tool Crib Attendant
Manages cutting tools, hand tools, fixtures, job boxes, and inventory records supporting machining operations.
Job Requirements
- Two to four years of Tool Crib Attendant experience
- Tool grinding experience
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with inventory management software
- Experience with order processing systems
- Experience reading tool lists and setup sheets
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
Preferred Skills
- Machining or manufacturing environment experience
- Experience inspecting cutting tools for wear and defects
- Experience using precision inspection and measurement tools
- Experience assembling and preparing tooling for CNC machining operations
- Knowledge of cutting tools, hand tools, fixtures, and related machining equipment
Job Responsibilities
- Receive, store, organize, and issue cutting tools, hand tools, fixtures, and related equipment
- Maintain tool crib inventory levels within computerized inventory systems
- Process tool and supply orders
- Set up tools according to tool lists and setup sheets
- Issue tooling and equipment to machinists
- Assist machinists with tooling requirements
- Create and organize job boxes
- Label fixtures and tooling for production use
- Inspect cutting tools for defects, damage, and wear
- Measure tools using inspection equipment
- Perform visual inspections of tooling and fixtures
- Grind and maintain tools as required
- Record tool usage, inventory transactions, and replacement requirements
Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
