Fabrication Technician

Supports automotive assembly, vehicle builds, metal fabrication, welding, painting, and rapid prototyping activities.

Job Requirements

• One or more years of related experience, training, or technical education

• Basic welding and mechanical assembly experience

• Experience using common hand and power tools

• Familiarity with automotive mechanics, vehicle assembly, or fabrication

• Ability to perform physical work in an automotive or fabrication environment

Preferred Skills

• MIG welding experience

• TIG welding experience

• Metal fabrication experience

• Automotive assembly or custom vehicle build experience

• Fabrication welding training

• Automotive mechanic training

• Industrial or automotive painting experience

• Rapid prototyping or 3D printing experience

• Waterjet equipment experience

• Metal bending machine experience

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble automotive components and support vehicle builds

• Fabricate, fit, and modify metal components

• Perform MIG and TIG welding

• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment

• Support rapid prototyping activities using 3D printing equipment

• Operate waterjet and metal bending equipment when trained

• Prepare components and surfaces for painting

• Perform basic automotive mechanical work

• Inspect fabricated and assembled components for dimensional and visual requirements

• Maintain fabrication tools, welding equipment, and work areas

Pay: 24-30/hr

Pay Details: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour
