Senior Electrical Engineer leads electrical engineering and design for building power, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems while overseeing design quality, technical leadership, and construction support.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering from an accredited university
  • Current Professional Engineer license with ability to obtain licensure in Idaho
  • At least 12 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70)
  • Experience performing voltage drop, arc flash, short-circuit, and load flow calculations
  • Experience with electrical equipment specification
  • Experience reviewing vendor submittals
  • Experience with field coordination
  • Ability to perform site punch walks
  • Ability to work effectively in construction environments
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software

Preferred Skills

  • Semiconductor design experience
  • Mission-critical facility design experience
  • Data center design experience
  • Experience serving as Electrical discipline lead
  • Experience serving as QC reviewer
  • Experience preparing technical specifications and bid/construction documents
  • Experience supporting project proposals

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform, lead, and oversee electrical engineering and design for facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communication systems
  • Supervise designer work and provide team technical leadership
  • Perform quality reviews of design packages
  • Prepare technical specifications and bid and construction documents
  • Serve as Electrical discipline lead or QC reviewer
  • Collaborate closely with owners and contractors
  • Support construction activities on site
  • Participate in proposals
  • Deliver proactive electrical design solutions to project challenges


Pay Details: $49.00 to $66.00 per hour
