Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related technical field

  • 5–10 or more years of software development experience

  • Advanced Python programming experience

  • C++ software development experience

  • Experience implementing software based on technical direction from lead or principal engineers

  • Experience with front-end and back-end application development

  • Knowledge of full-stack software architecture and system integration

  • Experience with Java or comparable object-oriented programming languages

  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies

  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications

  • Experience developing prototypes, proofs of concept, or proof-of-value solutions

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements and secure software development practices

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with React

  • Experience with Kotlin and Android application development

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services

  • Experience developing cloud-based or internet-connected applications

  • Experience with local or on-machine software applications

  • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or comparable AI-assisted development tools

Job Responsibilities

  • Write, test, debug, and maintain production software

  • Implement software components based on architecture and direction from lead and principal engineers

  • Develop applications using Python, C++, Java, and related technologies

  • Build front-end and back-end software components

  • Develop and integrate full-stack application architectures

  • Create prototypes, proofs of concept, and proof-of-value demonstrations

  • Evaluate the feasibility of new technologies and software applications

  • Support strategic technology studies related to future product capabilities

  • Design user-focused software systems and application interfaces

  • Develop cloud-connected and internet-connected software tools

  • Develop local and on-machine applications based on project requirements

  • Design and maintain SQL and NoSQL database structures

  • Integrate software applications with databases, APIs, cloud services, and external systems

  • Apply cybersecurity requirements throughout software design and development

  • Develop automated and manual software tests

  • Review existing code and implement corrections, enhancements, and performance improvements

  • Document software architecture, interfaces, test results, and implementation details

  • Support software integration, validation, and release activities

  • Contribute to project planning, technical estimation, and development scheduling

  • Provide technical guidance and code-review support to junior engineers

  • Support embedded, cloud, desktop, web, or mobile software projects as assigned

Pay: 40-54/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
