Job Requirements

  • Colorado Grade B Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator license

  • Colorado Grade A Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator license accepted

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in an industrial or municipal water or wastewater treatment facility, public works operation, or related field

  • Project management experience involving technical support and financial accountability

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment operations

  • Understanding of fluid flow, process equipment, and control instrumentation

  • Ability to read and apply industrial regulations, permit requirements, and operating standards

  • Experience managing operational and regulatory compliance

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

  • Experience using PDF software, SCADA systems, client software platforms, and data-entry systems

  • Valid driver’s license with no major infractions

  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time

  • Ability to support operations remotely through virtual communication and monitoring systems

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage industrial wastewater treatment staff across two Colorado locations

  • Direct onsite contract operations and maintenance teams

  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal water-quality permit requirements

  • Maintain operational and regulatory compliance at assigned facilities

  • Implement and enforce safety, quality, operating, and client requirements

  • Monitor treatment processes, fluid systems, equipment, instrumentation, and SCADA data

  • Review plant performance and identify process-control or compliance issues

  • Develop corrective actions for permit, operational, safety, and maintenance deficiencies

  • Manage onsite supervisors, operators, project managers, and support personnel

  • Assign work and verify completion of operational duties

  • Coordinate employee orientation, technical training, and required compliance training

  • Develop operations and maintenance training programs

  • Maintain written development plans for project managers, supervisors, and operators

  • Manage employee performance reviews and required personnel documentation

  • Verify compliance with corporate and customer reporting systems

  • Lead maintenance, process-control, cost-reduction, process-optimization, and sustainability initiatives

  • Develop and monitor preventive maintenance and equipment-reliability programs

  • Support facility startups and emergency operations as an onsite manager

  • Review and approve operational records, compliance reports, and technical documentation

  • Track facility key performance indicators and contract performance requirements

  • Travel to assigned sites for client meetings, inspections, audits, and operational reviews

  • Maintain primary operational contact with client management and technical personnel

  • Report facility performance, permit compliance, risks, and corrective actions

  • Review monthly contract-service and project reports

  • Develop operating budgets and monitor financial performance

  • Develop operating strategies that support regulatory and contractual requirements

  • Verify compliance with contract provisions and service expectations

  • Support resolution of local operational, staffing, regulatory, and client issues

  • Support proposals, presentations, and contract-operations business development activities

  • Monitor industry technology, treatment methods, and regulatory developments

Pay: 36-48/hr

Pay Details: $36.00 to $48.00 per hour
